Quick Description: Reddish-ginger and white she-cat with amber eyes
Appearance:
Personality:Mapleleaf is an average sized cat. She is about 2 to 2 and a half tail-lengths long from nose to tail-tip. Her fur is about 1 mousetail long. She always tries to keep it nice and neat, and she loves for it to look glossy and beautiful. Although she cannot take on a mate, she wants to look good at anytime. She is pretty petite and graceful, trying to make all her moves look good, and tries to do everything right, as anyone would. Her pelt is a dark ginger; almost red.
Her paws are white, as well as a small circular dot on her chest. Her eyes are a light amber color, also looking yellowish at times, but mostly its amber. Her muscles are hidden, and are only barely visible. She has no scars, except one small scratch-looking scar on the inside part of her front right leg. Although this was a scratch she revieved as an apprentice many moons ago, it stills hurts her, making her limp sometimes. Its not heavy limping, or constant limping. It appears, however, that she only limps when angered, annoyed, irritated, or injured.
Mapleleaf tried to do everything right; anyone would. She is a worry-wort, and freaks out if anyone gets al least whitecough, or worse, the deadly greencough. This is because she just rescently lost her mentor; Juniperpelt, and, being only 27 moons, she feels unprepared to take on the medicine cat duties. Sometimes, she does mess up, nobody's perfect. But, unlike some cats, Mapleleaf spasses out. If a cat dies, you'd better believe this young cat would sulk about it. She'd sit around all day wondering if she should just quit her job as a medicine cat. She never does, however. She knows being a medicine cat is her destiny, and she loves doing it. Mapleleaf just knows that if something happens to her, than what would happen to her Clan? And what if she was a bad medicine cat? She couldn't train an apprentice then, or fulfill her life in VolcanoClan.Kit History:
She tends to over-react.. a lot, as you can tell already. She also has mood-swings. One minuet she'll be sitting around, doing nothing. Another minuet she'll be sitting in the medicine cat den, wishing for a normal life as a warrior in fear she'll let the Clan die because of her young age and limited skills(Her over-reacting) and another time, she will be all happy with her job and taking everything seriously - and doing a good job at it. She's easy to get along with, and is a great friend; loyal and trusting.
Mapleleaf was born to an unknown mother. All she knew was that her father was, or supposadly was, Emberfoot. Supposadly here meaning that for a long time, she believed and sometimes was told that Orangefeather was her mother. The ginger queen was actually only her foster mother, and once she found that out, she began questioning everything she had been told since she was a kit. She knew as a fact that her two kits; Hollykit and Puddlekit were not her real siblings, and as far as she knew, she didn't have any. Emberfoot, she was repeatadly told, was really her father, and he is, but she still only half believes it.Apprentice History:
Maplekit became Maplepaw, but not to a warrior. Juniperpelt, the medicine cat, took her on as his apprentice. Maplepaw decided to take on the life of a medicine cat, because she had helped Juniperpelt in the medicine cat den a few times as a kit. She drifted away from her two foster siblings a few moons into her apprenticeship, after learning about her mother not being there, although that was an accadent. Maplepaw was furious at her father for not telling her, but secretly, she knew it wouldn't have been any better if he told her either. She was only an apprentice for about 7 moons, because Juniperpelt died before her naming ceremony. The leader at that time told her to go to the MoonCave and ask StarClan for her name; Juniperpelt appeared to her and gave her her name, Mapleleaf.Warrior History:

Her first dream was nothing of a major prophocy or warning. In fact, it was more of a welcome dream. It did however contain a warning.
A dark ginger she-cat appeared to her in her dream. She didn't know who this cat was, but she could tell it was from VolcanoClan. The warrior welcomed her to StarClan, and told her of danger to come. She told her about scarce prey, and it would bring more harm than VolcanoClan would think. It did after about a moon when it was the middle of Leaf-Bare, and that was when Maplepaw gave her full faith into StarClan and became the medicine cat she is today.
"What?" A shriek came from the nursery. "Grayfeather's not my mother?" It was Maplepaw, the WaterClan medicine cat apprentice. She stood, staring at a fiery red tom, her eyes filled with aguish and fury, her mouth open with disbelief. "I'm sorry, Maplepaw, but she's not. I-" The tom began, but was cut off by the ginger and white apprentice's yowl. "Why would you lie to me? I have believed for moons that she was my mother! And she's not?!" "I didn't want to tell you because- Well, I didn't mean to-" Emberfoot tried to explain, but his daughter's anguish, anger, and mixture of feelings wouldn't let him. Before he could gather his words, the Maplepaw had turned and stalked out of the den.Other:
Once outside, Maplepaw suddenly calmed down enough to walk out of camp without curious stared from her Clanmates about the fury in her amber eyes. And without someone to ask her what was wrong - she didn't want to talk about it any longer. Thinking was all she would do now. She would go to Sky Springs and think about it. Hopefully no one was there tonight with their mate, so she could be there alone. 'If.. Grayfeather's not my mother, then who is?' She wondered. Her father had never mentioned who her mother actually was, and now that she had come to the thought of it, she was anxious to know the answer. However, she couldn't consult to her father, or anyone for that matter, not after the rescent scene.
She remembered a few moments before; she had been sitting in the nursery, watching her newest sisters, Grayfeather's new kits, play-fight. Emberfoot came in to check on them. Although he wasn't her mate, they were best friends, and he often checked up on her litters; although she had only had two since Maplepaw had been born, and she thought she was his mate, at least, for her litter. He didn't seem to notice her, for she was sitting in a corner grooming herself out of the kits' reach. Minuets passed, and her father and Grayfeather got into a fight, Maplepaw had no knowledge of what it was about because she was staring off into space, thinking hard about something. All of a sudden, she heard her father exclaim: "You're not even Maplepaw's mother!" Right then, Maplepaw's eyes widened with disbelief. "What?" She had exclaimed. Emberfoot whipped around, his eyes light with alarm. "M-Maplepaw.." He had murmered, "I-" But Maplepaw was already on her feet, pelt bristling and hackled raised.
That was where she had exclaimed "What?", right before stalking out. She raised her head to the stars above her. 'StarClan.. why? Why did he lie to me? Why did Grayfeather lie to me? Who is my mother? What else did he not tell me? How can I prove he's actually my father?' She asked StarClan silently. Her heart had dropped long ago, and her mind whirled with questions. What if Emberfoot wasn't her father after all? What if she was not even Clan born? Were her parents bloodthirsty rogues, eager to get rid of the useless burden she had been? She had no answer to these questions, and anxiety filled her. She noticed clouds had covered most of the stars. Dark bollowy rain clouds. She heard thunder off in the distance, and stood. Turning around, she headed back to camp as the first raindrops began to fall.
I would have done a secret sister or brother, but the color code disables that...[/blockquote]
-Has secret mother who gave her up in NightClan. ((Yes, I know thats a dumb decision on Nightwing's behalf..))
